Japan awards 2013 Spring Imperial Decoration to Terry Shima

As described in a press release from the Embassy of Japan, Terry Shima is among 40 foreign recipients of the 2013 Spring Imperial Decorations announced by the Government of Japan on April 29, 2013.

Terry Shima will receive the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette, in recognition of his significant contributions to the improvement of the status of Japanese Americans in the United States.
