Schedule of memorials for Senator Inouye

The following schedule has been announced for Sen. Inouye’s memorials:

The Senator’s casket will be placed in state 10 am in the US Capitol Rotunda on Thursday, Dec. 20. It will be available for public visitation 11:30 am to 8 pm. There will be a short closed ceremony prior in the am for members, cabinet, etc.

On Friday at 10:30 am, Dec. 21 there will be a service at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC.

On Sunday at 10:00 am, Dec. 23 there will be a service at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl in Honolulu.

The family requests that contributions be made to a memorial fund at the Hawaii Community Foundation, in lieu of flowers (www.hawaiicommunityfoundation.org).
